THE BIBLE

The Bible is God’s word to all mankind. It was written by human authors, under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the source of truth for Christian beliefs and living. Because it is inspired by God, it is truth without any mixture of error.

GOD

God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed in three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. These three are equal and are one God.

JESUS CHRIST

Jesus is the Son of God. He is equal with the Father and the Holy Spirit. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all by dying on the cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven's glory and will return again to earth to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

THE HOLY SPIRIT

The Holy Spirit is equal with the Father and the Son as God. He is present in the world to make mankind aware of our need for Jesus Christ. He lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation. He provides the Christian with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth and guidance in doing what is right. The Christian seeks to live under His control daily.

MANKIND

We are all made in the image of God and we are the supreme object of God's creation. Although mankind has tremendous potential for good, we are marred by an attitude of disobedience toward God called sin. Sin separates us from God.

ETERNITY

We all were created to exist forever. We will either exist eternally separated from God by sin, or in union with God through forgiveness and salvation. The place of eternal separation from God is called Hell. Heaven is the place of eternal life with God.

SALVATION

Salvation is a gift from God to mankind. We can never make up for our sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God's offer of forgiveness can we be saved from sin's penalty. Eternal life begins the moment we recieve Jesus Christ into our life by faith.

ETERNAL SECURITY

Because God gives us eternal life through Jesus Christ, the believer is secure in salvation for eternity. Salvation is maintained by the grace and power of God, not by the self-effort of the Christian. It is the grace of God that gives this security.

PRIESTHOOD OF THE BELIEVER

We believe in the priesthood of each individual believer so that every Christian has direct, personal access to God in prayer through Jesus Christ. There is no mediator between God and man other than Jesus Christ.

THE CHURCH

We believe that the New Testament Church is a local body of believers with Christ as their head and the Holy Spirit as their Guide. The church is to be governed and directed by Jesus’ sovereign gifts to the church  to equip the saints to do the work of ministry.

SECOND COMING OF CHRIST

We believe in the visible, personal return of Jesus Christ for His church. At this time, the dead in Christ and the living believers will meet Him in the air. He will at a point after visibly descend with the saints and establish His Kingdom.

TWO ORDINANCES

We believe that the local church observes two ordinances: Baptism and the Lord’s Supper. Water Baptism and the Lord’s Supper has no saving power but is done in obedience to Christ's command.

WATER BAPTISM

We believe that all who have received Christ as their Lord and Savior should be baptized by immersion in water in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19). Baptism is symbolic of Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection. 

LORD’S SUPPER

We believe the Lord’s Supper should be observed in remembrance of Him to show forth His death for our sins until He comes again.

TWO OFFICES OF THE CHURCH:

PASTOR

While both men and women are gifted for service and can teach in the church,  we believe the office of pastor is limited to men as qualified by Scripture.

DEACON

We believe the role of the deacon is to colabor with the Pastor in the administering of the spiritual and physical needs of the church.

TITHES

We believe in giving our Tithes (10 percent) to the local church to financially support the health and expenses of the Church. Before the law was instituted, Abraham gave tithes (Genesis 14:20). The tithe, Leviticus 27:30, was holy unto the Lord, and did not belong to the person.The promise in Malachi 3 is that God will prosper the remaining 90% more than the original 100%(Proverbs 11:24; 13:7; Matthew 6:19-20).

OFFERING

We believe in giving our financial offerings to the Lord. Our tithes are what we owe God and our offering is what we freely give to Him.

HEALING

We believe that Jesus is the Healer that still heals today but it must be in accordance with His Will (I John 5:14-15). Sometimes people are physically healed when they place their faith in Christ, but this is not always the case. Sometimes it is God’s will to heal physically, but sometimes it is not. The Apostle John gives us the proper perspective: “And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he heareth us. And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.” (1 John 5:14-15). God still performs miracles. God still heals people physically. Sickness, disease, pain, and death are still realities in this world. Everyone who is alive today will die, and the vast majority of them (Christians included) will die as the result of a physical problem (disease, sickness, injury). It is not always God’s will to heal us physically (2 Cor 12:7-10, 2 Tim 4:20). Ultimately, our full physical healing awaits us in heaven. In heaven, there will be no more pain, sickness, disease, suffering, or death (Revelation 21:4).
